JR CHUO is a UK-based contemporary paper cut artist, whose work explores the impacts of climate change on coral reefs.

Art with environmental purpose.

As his work is inspired by the impacts of climate change on coral reefs, JR CHUO has partnered with environmental NGO 'Coralive’ to support their coral conservation work around the planet.

7% of the revenue generated from each sale of a JR CHUO artwork is donated to Coralive, contributing to the creation of a real life β€˜CHUO Reef'.

JR CHUO artworks are currently funding coral restoration projects in the Maldives and Madagascar.

Each piece contains meticulous hand-cut details that create fine beams of light through the layers of paper.
